Hacktoberfest is back and this year its celebrating its fifth year! For those that are new to Hacktoberfest, it is a month-long festival of supporting and contributing to open-source. How it works is you need to signup, then make at least five pull requests to any public Github project in the month of October. If you complete this and one of the first 50,000 you will receive a special Hacktoberfest T-Shirt. Here are the main details:
To get a shirt, you must make five pull requests (PRs) between October 131 in any timezone. PRs can be to any public repo on GitHub, not just the ones highlighted. The PR must contain commits you made yourself. PRs reported by maintainers as spam or that are automated will be marked as invalid and wont count towards the shirt. This year, the first 50,000 of you can earn a T-shirt (compared with 30,000 in 2017). Happy Hacking!
