Kids app maker Duck Duck Moose joins Khan Academy

Sequoia-backed kids educational startupDuckDuckMooseis heading to Khan Academy, to add preschool learning to the non-profits digital education offerings. The startups 21 mobile apps aimed at children ages two and up are now available for free as a part of the move, which is not technically being considered an acquisition, due to the way the deal was funded.

The sitelaunched about a year and a half ago with the goal of helping average retail investors learn from otherswho have more experience in investing and the stock market.

Netlify, a service for quickly rolling out static websites, raises $2.1M

Mathias Biilmann a former CTO of a firm that built websites for small businesses says developers have gotten so used to using Github as a central workflow, they expect the entire rest of the developer experience to work the same way. The way that a front-enddeveloper would work would be to go into a server and change how things were structured, but then Git came in and became the basic way of operating, Biilmann, co-founder of Netlify, said.
